Golden Globes 2023 will be delivered this Tuesday; “Wandinha”, “Avatar” and more compete for the award

The 80th edition of the Golden Globes one of the highest awards in the TV It’s from movie theater takes place this Tuesday (10), at 22h [horário de Brasília]at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angelesus U.S.

Despite return to televisionafter a year without broadcast due to a controversy involving the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), the event will not be televised in Brazil. In the US, it is traditionally shown on NBC.

In addition, the red carpet and the presence of celebrities and the public will also return in 2023 – suspended in the last edition because of the Covid-19.

The event will be hosted by the comedian Jerrod Carmichaelhowever, other celebrities will take the stage to reveal the winners, among them: Jenna Ortega (“Wandinha”), Jennifer Hudson (Dreamgirls – In Search of a Dream), Ana de Armas (“Blonde”), the director Quentin Tarantino (“Pulp Fiction”) and more.

“The Banshees of Inisherin” is the highlight of the edition so far, leading the nominations, with eight, in the film categories, and “Abbott Elementary”between series, with five nominations.

Other productions that compete for the award and have been the talk of the last year are: “Wandinha”, “Dragon House”, “Top Gun: Maverick”, “Avatar: The Way of Water” and more.

The actor honored by the joint work of this edition is Eddie Murphy (“A Prince in New York,” “A Hard-Man Cop” and more).

Past DeMille Award recipients include Oprah Winfrey, Meryl Streep, Sophia Loren, Tom Hanks, Jane Fonda and Robert De Niro.

The Golden Globe awards the best film and television professionals annually and has established itself as one of the greatest thermometers for the oscar.
